Body composition is the term used to describe the different components that, when taken together, make up a person’s overall body weight. The human body is composed of a variety of different tissue types including lean tissues (muscle, bone, and organs) that are metabolically active, and fat (adipose) tissue that is not.
The 1st step of successful body transformation is to assess and calculate our body composition.
There are multiple methods in which a body composition can be calculated with the required information being the same.
Once the two main types of tissue (metabolically active & Adipose) have been calculated we can then begin to calculated the required macro nutrients. This body composition analysis also needs to be coupled with a visual physique analysis to determine the symmetry and balance of the muscularity.
The 2nd step of successful body transformation is the development phase.
This phase is focused on the development of the lean muscle tissues in the body as well as the function and stability of the muscle, joints and different systems of the body.
For this phase to be successful it requires accurate nutrition coupled with accurate and effective exercise programming.
The 3rd step of successful body transformation is the conditioning phase.
The focus of this phase is body fat reduction. Once this phase begins the exercise programming should be already working effectively and only small changes would be required. Most of the changes in this phase will be your macro nutrient ratios.
It’s important to incorporate all three elements of this process for your body transformation to be successful.
