This question just came I from a client who just started working with me so I wanted to share my article happy reading.

If you opt for margarine because it’s “better for your heart health,” then today I am going to give you THREE good reasons why you need to change your mindset towards butter:

Now, would you put BUTTER on your healthy plate? Probably not!  But I am here to say: You should be!  Butter – especially the kind made with cream from a grass-fed cow  – is loaded with nutrients that everyone – no matter your age – needs in order to maintain your health. But I am sure you still don’t believe me… That’s why I am going to give you THREE reasons why you need to eat MORE butter:

1. Good for Diabetes Look, as a society, we have gotten bigger and rounder!  And it’s not because of too much fat! In fact, the real driver behind the soaring obesity trends may be too many refined products in our diet. But that’s not why butter is so darn good for reducing symptoms commonly associated with diabetes! One issue that people may have BEFORE they get diabetes is not being very sensitive to the hormone insulin. Well, butter may be able to help!  A recent study shows that butyrate – a type of short-chain fatty acid – may improve insulin sensitivity! And when that happens – you may be able to better utilize insulin, which may lead to better control of sugar levels.

2. Boosts Your Immune System Butter contains a boatload of nutrients that are needed for optimal health! And when you think of being – and staying healthy – you should think about your immune system and how it fights off the very bacteria that could make you sick – sometimes deathly sick. Well, butter may help! Two vitamins important for immune health are Vitamins A and D – which are found in natural – butter made from cream from a grass-fed cow!
