I have been struggling to manage my weight for the last few years. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid 3 years ago and have been taking medication to help manage the condition. I had allowed this to become an excuse for my weight gradually creeping up. My commitment to regular exercise had become inconsistent, my motivation and energy levels had dropped and my diet became complacent. I used my age – wrong side of 45 – and thyroid problems as an excuse to justify the weight gains. I have added about a kilo to my weight each year for the last 7 or 8 years. Looking in the mirror I didn’t like what I saw staring back. I was going to the gym, and had invested in a personal trainer, but was not seeing progress or change.
I explored the internet for inspiration and came across Fred’s website. From the day we met, I haven’t looked back. Fred helped me set my goals and has worked with me over the last 12 weeks to achieve them. He has trained me hard – very hard! He has given me great nutritional advice and moral support. When I think I am at my limits, he pushes me further. When I feel like giving up, he encourages me to go on. He has become a great friend and inspiration and helped me get my body and my life back to where it should be. Not only am I leaner and toned, my energy levels and fitness are the best they have been in 10 years. He helped me take ownership. I have stopped hiding behind excuses and taken back control of my life and my ambitions. I know I can achieve anything I choose to do, and the journey has just begun.
